The Pillow of Dreams

The Witches had their own method of interpretation of dreams, which was indeed a form of divination. Their means to this kind of divination was a small pillow stuffed with herbs.
The "pillow of dreams" is a simple, sweet, soft little pillow stuffed with herbs such as poppy, mycon, centauria, valeriana, arnica, lavender, roses, paciflora, sandalwood, calendula and berberis. These herbs provided a peaceful, sound sleep rich in dreams.
People dream every single night - they simply do not always remember their dreams in the morning. Dreams are always prophetic, because they are encoded symbolisms of our secret, unconscious desires and of the fears that dictate our actions. Every dream that we have is a portal to our future.
The interpretation of dreams is an ancient method of divination, reaching back to the infancy of mankind. In the ancient temples of Asclepius (son of the god Apollo and god of healing himself) the patients followed this method to find the answers to their health problems. These temples were hidden deep into the thick forests, and the patients had to travel far to reach them. When they finally arrived, weary of the long and perilous journey, the god's priests would put them to sleep on a pillow stuffed with herbs, in a dark chamber. They believed that the god would appear in the patients' sleep and show them the way to their healing.
The witches' method of dream divination is the following:
When you go to bed at night, take two small glasses of water by your bedside table. Sit on your bed, drink one of the glasses of water and say the following words: "Sleep, you take me and you give me serenity, hope, peace and life, rest, healing, take me in your arms and give me comforting sleep and sweet, wise and revealing dreams. Take my question and give me the answer. I wish to know… (you say what bothers you)… if I will… Show me what to do. I shall now sleep a comforting, sweet slumber. I shall see dreams that I will still remember in the morning, dreams that will bear the answer to my problem."
You don't leave your bed again, and you fall asleep.
As soon as you wake up in the morning, the first thing to do is to drink the other glass of water, saying: "Sleep, show me my dreams".
Take a notebook and, on the left page, write the question you posed, as well as the dream you saw and how you interpret it. On the right page, write down an account of what shall happen on that very same day.
Soon, you will have your own dream code.
